McAlpine Village Twelve years ago we were taken to a small village high in the mountains of Westmoreland. We bonded with the people of the village as soon as we met. Their smiles and love toward us was awesome. They had no electricity, running water, and the road to the village was only a donkey path. We began praying about what we could do to show them the love of JESUS. The children in the village had to walk over three miles to a school. It was evident that they needed a school. Our ministry was able to raise enough money to build a school, equip it and to pay a teacher for it. The children were all coming to school hungry. Our next project was to build a kitchen and now the children are thriving with warm food and a proper education. We are in the process of building a large clinic and half way house for street people. This is also in the village of McAlpine. After the hurricane IVAN, we repaired houses and built room additions, repaired roofs, and built an entire house for one family. Our future plans are to build proper housing for others in need in the village. We also distribute clothing and shoes along with food items and Bibles to the villagers. |
